SOFTWARE 

There are several free programs which can be used for these sensors :

LOGTEMP
This program shows measurements on screen, logs them and allows to transfer them to a web site using ftp (see online example) . It is also able to send alarm information via email or SMS. 

Installation:
Download 1-wire drivers (Tmex drivers), selecting your type of Windows from here. Install them.
Download Logtemp from here.   Run logtemp-setup-2-21.exe accepting its default options. It will leave an icon on the desktop.
Connect sensors to the adaptor and the adaptor to the serial port of your PC


Setup:

Setup is done by selecting Show > Setup.
Default interval is 10 minutes, you can change the setting.
Check which serial port are you using. Default is com2, but you have to match your actual port.
Select Adapter COM-DS9097E:


To configure the name of each sensor, the colors on the graphics, the alarms, and which sensor will be shown in the tray, select the sensors one by one in the lower part of the screen, by right-clicking.


Transfer of data to a web page:

To send the graphics and the measurements table to a web page, you have to configure the FTP section, checking the Transfer files to Ftp-server checkbox, filling in the ftp server Address, example: ftp.lula.cl, Port (normally: 21), User name and Password (provided by the web-hosting company). Setup Timer and also click on the Directory button to setup the path where the files will be published, for example: /public_htm/solar. This directory has to exist on the web server. To create it you can use any ftp client, like LeechFTP, which can be downloaded from here. Finally click on the Select Files button to set the files that will be transferred. File day.jpg contains the  graphics and last.htm contains the measurements table.
In section HTML you set the directory where the last.htm is going to be stored, the page title and you can add html code.

Text files:
LOGTEMP stores measurements in text files, in a directory that you can setup in the Saving section.

Alarm email:
If there is an alarm condition the system can send you an email. For this, the SMTP section must be configured with the mail server parameters. You have to create a profile with the email addresses of the receivers, for example:
